Double Joy Mothers of Multiples

Yesterday was our spring garage sale. We had a great turn out and we were able to meet a lot of new moms. It was great to chat with so many moms excited at the prospect of having twins. It brings back my own memories of finding out we were expecting twins and all of the excitement and fear that came with them. Did you know that this April is the 1st ever "Multiiple Birth Awareness Month?" There are so many joys and challenges that face multiple birth families. Multiple births are on the rise and families need to know that there is already a support network in place. The National Organization of Mothers of Twins suggests that parents need to establish relationships with members of a local organization so that they don't find themselves struggling through early problems with no one to turn to for advice, hints, and suggestions. Come meet moms just like yourself. Attending club meetings is a great way to learn about our club and become involved in our events and activities. Our next meeting will be tomorrow night, Monday, April 6th. We'll be having pizza and our program will include a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who will be answering our questiions.
